MEET OUR DOCTORS

Jim Hammon, DVM, CVJ

Dr. Jim Hammon, was a member of the very first veterinary class of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1979. He worked for the next three years at two different practices in Jefferson City, Tennessee and Gallatin, Tennessee.

In 1982, following the graduation of his brother and partner, Dr. Randy Hammon, Northgate Animal Hospital was designed and built. Dr. Jim is married to his lovely wife, Jill, and they have two daughters, Caitlin and Amelia. “Ody" the Border Collie, plus 2 cats named "Holly" & "Joy", also enjoy Dr. Jim's home.

Randy Hammon, DVM, CVJ

Dr. Randy Hammon is a 1982 graduate of the Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He has wanted to be a veterinarian since he was 5-years old, and has never had second thoughts.

Dr. Randy has been practicing veterinary medicine with his brother, Dr. Jim Hammon, at Northgate Animal Hospital since graduating and building our facility in 1982. He enjoys outdoor sports on both the land and water. Dr. Randy shares a small farm with his two Australian Shepherd mixed breeds and one cat.

Yvonne Ward, DVM

Dr. Yvonne Ward is a 1999 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Northgate Animal Hospital for nine years. Dr. Ward has a wonderful husband, Tommy, and a beautiful daughter, Chloe. She enjoys working in the yard, spending time with her family and sharing her home with "Manly" the Boston Terrier, "Gabi", the Choodle and “Lola” the French Bulldog.
