Preventive Pet Care and Wellness Exams

We recommend annual, and in some cases biannual, comprehensive physical exams depending on your pet’s age, breed, and medical history. Regular checkups allow our veterinarians to detect and manage potential issues before they become serious. During these exams, we perform:
  • Thorough physical evaluations
  • Screenings for congenital or developmental abnormalities
  • Internal and external parasite exams
  • Necessary vaccinations based on your pet’s lifestyle
If any health concerns are detected, our veterinarians will explain your pet’s condition and recommend tailored treatment options.

Puppy & Kitten Care: A Healthy Start for Your New Best Friend

Your puppy or kitten’s first veterinary visits are both exciting and essential. At Northgate Animal Hospital, we provide a comprehensive health assessment, initial vaccinations, and screenings for internal and external parasites, as well as congenital or developmental concerns.

You’ll also receive personalized guidance on diet, training, behavior, and parasite prevention, along with helpful handouts and starter food samples. To support your pet’s lifelong wellness, we typically recommend spaying or neutering.

Ear Infections

Chronic ear infections can be a sign of a deeper problem. If your pet suffers from recurrent ear infections, we will examine your pet's ears and prescribe a treatment plan to help make your pet more comfortable. We offer ear flushing procedures, and treatment for conditions such as ear mites, ear infections and chronic ear problems.

Eye Care

Using a state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluation, we are able to accurately measure your pet’s intraocular pressure with this quick, painless procedure. We use this diagnostic test any time we have a patient present with a “red eye”. We also recommend screening tests for those breeds prone to primary glaucoma.

Skin and Dermatology Problems

Dermatology and skin disorders can lead to your pet having itching problems, hair loss, skin infections, ringworm, mites, and "hot spots". If your pet is constantly scratching, or licking, we'll help you determine the cause of your pet's skin problem and help you with a treatment plan to make your pet more comfortable.

Arthritis and Degenerative Diseases

Our veterinarians offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for orthopedic and degenerative problems your pet may be experiencing.

Pet Pharmacy

At Northgate Animal Hospital, we maintain a fully stocked in-house pharmacy offering trusted medications, supplements, and prescription diets to support your pet’s health. For added convenience, we also offer a secure online pharmacy, allowing you to refill prescriptions and have them delivered straight to your door.

While online bargains can be tempting, we strongly encourage pet parents to use only medications prescribed by a licensed veterinarian following a proper physical exam and diagnostic evaluation. Medications from unverified online sources may be expired, counterfeit, or not FDA-approved—posing serious risks to your pet’s health.

Trust Northgate Animal Hospital to provide safe, effective medications and professional guidance you can count on.

Appointments are welcome, we love meeting new furry faces!
